CorkStop Studios Printmaking Information
CorkStop studio offers rental programs to provide affordable access to printmakers in an environmentally responsible studio for the creation of their art. The studio facilities can be rented for varying lengths of time by working artists.
Studio rental passes
Due to the technical nature of printmaking, all renters must go through an admission process to gain access to The Print Studio facility. This ensures the safety of the printmaker and the integrity of the equipment. Admission to the program is assessed in an interview with the Studio Director. At the time of the interview, artists must show technical proficiency and be prepared to discuss their equipment usage in the studio. Artists are required to sign a TERMS OF USAGE contract and a LIABILITY WAIVER. The decision of the Studio Director is final and applicants may reapply if needed six months from prior application.
Monday to Friday 8am-7pm, most Saturdays available

Intaglio
The large open space CorkStop of studio has an area of approx. 18' x 30' dedicated to printmaking. The studio houses a custom built intaglio press. Blankets, newsprint, tarletan and some tools are provided, but each artist must use his/her own inks, plates, paper, tools, etc... The studio is NOT equipped for acids, instead we use and encourage the use of solar etching, drypoint etching and mono-printing techniques. The studio is also in the process of developing a digital printing facility.
Digital
The studio also houses a large professional Epson printer (can be used for Giclees and professional digital prints).
